## How smoke reaches Toledo

Toledo catches smoke funneling along the western basin of Lake Erie, where plumes from Canada converge with haze riding up the Ohio Valley. Light lake-shore winds can let aged smoke pool over the flat Maumee lowlands.

That is why SmokeDar reports two numbers for Toledo:
